My new folky blues song ‘Crying Moon Blues’. I wanted to have a bit more of a stripped back sound on this one with minimal instrumentation and a more classic acoustic sound. As always, all the recording was done by myself with an acoustic guitar and an 80s keyboard. I also added a looped beat track in the final half. The lyrics are fairly self-explanatory and I also made a video with vintage footage which is available on YouTube. I wanted to create a bit more of a bluesy sound because I have quite a naturally bluesy voice and I feel that as an acoustic guitarist, I owe a lot to the old blues musicians. This song takes inspiration from old blues and combines it with a bit more a pop feel. I hope you enjoy listening to this song and please let me know if you have any comments, I like hearing them.
