Another little gothic number. I really like the jazzy rhythm coupled with the heavily reverbed vocals and guitar. This song is loosely based on my time in Canterbury as a student and studying the death of Thomas Becket who died in Canterbury Cathedral. I was very struck by the story and have written a few songs referencing him but this is the first one I have released.
I also reference the time I witnessed one of the biggest lightning displays in modern British history. I watched it at 1am in my bedroom window, it was incredible and doubled with the view of the amazing view of the cathedral that I had at the time, I just had to write a song about it haha.
